An $\textit{arithmetic series}$ is the sum of the terms of an arithmetic sequence.For example: $4, 7, 10, 13, \cdots,61$ is a finite arithmetic sequence. $4+7+10+13+ \cdots +61$ is the corresponding arithmetic series.
